A Merrill Lynch team generating around $6.6 million in revenue in Fort Worth, Texas split from the thundering herd on Monday morning to join Raymond James & Associates, according to a source familiar with the move.

The team, which is led by 38-year industry veteran Melinda M. Johnston, managed almost $1.5 billion in client assets, according to the source. The group, which had been called M2J Wealth Management at Merrill, also includes advisor Kristin N. Stanley and support staff Nicholas Olivarri and Judy Frank, according to their former firm website.

The team reports to Raymond James Fort Worth Branch Manager Christopher Beavers and North Texas � Arkansas � Oklahoma Complex Manager Jeremy Silvas, according to the source.
